Tomorrowland will also land in Thailand!

Last year, Taylor Swift reached an exclusive agreement with Singapore, making this island country the only stop in Southeast Asia for the Eras tour. In early March this year, Taylor performed six consecutive shows at the Singapore National Stadium, attracting 300,000 music fans to watch the show live.

According to estimates by economists at Maybank, 70% of the music fans at the Singapore concert are from overseas, and their spending in Singapore reached as high as $370 million. This inspired Thai Prime Minister Srettha Thavisin and he decided to create an international top performing arts sanctuary to boost the vigorous development of the country’s tourism industry.

Not long ago, the famous Japanese music festival brand “Summer Sonic Summer Sonic” announced that it will hold the Thai station music festival in Bangkok from August 24 to 25 this year.

Recently, Thailand has also reached an agreement with the Belgian EDM giant Tomorrowland, which means that the second world-renowned music festival IP will be landed in Thailand. Tomorrowland will be landed in Thailand in 2026 and plans to hold nine consecutive sessions afterwards.

The Belgian EDM giant Tomorrowland was founded in 2005 and is held in the park in the town of Boom every year. The first two sessions were only one day, and the third session was expanded to a two-day event. In 2009, the event theme was set, and from 2010 to 2014, there were also exclusive theme songs. In 2011, the event was further upgraded to three days, and the 10th anniversary celebration event was held in two weekends in July in 2014.

Since 2017, the music festival has officially launched a double weekend event. After the music festival was cancelled in 2020 and 2021 due to the epidemic and held online live broadcasts, the event was held in three consecutive weekends in July after its return in 2022, and 600,000 viewers from more than 200 countries participated. This electronic dance music brand has also been exported to many countries. It has held the TomorrowWorld music festival in the United States from 2013 to 2015, and the Tomorrowland Winter music festival in France in March 2018 and 2019. After being held in Brazil twice in 2015 and 2016, Tomorrowland returned to Sao Paulo in 2023 and held it in the former Mita Park in Itu City from October 12 to 14.

The 20th Tomorrowland music festival will be held in two weekends from July 19 to 21 and July 26 to 28 in the province of Antwerp, Belgium, in Boom. More than 400 performers, including Armin van Buuren, Amelie Lens, Bonobo B2B Dixon, David Guetta, ANNA, Vintage Culture, Tale Of Us, Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike, Solomun B2B Four Tet, and Swedish House Mafia, will appear on 16 stages at this electronic music feast.
